The United States two-dollar bill is the rarest denomination of US currency. The obverse side of the bill features a portrait of President Thomas Jefferson and the reverse side of the bill features the painting The Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull. The most recent printing of two dollar bill was the Series 2003A, which was printed July to September 2006. The bills were issued for all 12 Federal Reserve Banks. The Series 2003A note contains the words THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE on the left side of Jefferson's portrait.
